Turkish Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Oncu Keceli has rejected claims published in Israeli media alleging that Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan pressured Hamas officials on the issue of a cease-fire during a recent meeting in Doha.

Ministry clarifies position following Israeli reports

Keceli issued a statement refuting the allegations, saying, "The allegation that our minister forced Hamas to make concessions regarding the cease-fire during his meeting with Hamas officials in Doha yesterday does not reflect the truth."

The clarification came after reports in an Israeli newspaper suggested that Fidan pressured Hamas representatives during discussions held in Qatar's capital.

Türkiye's diplomatic engagement in Gaza efforts

Foreign Minister Fidan's visit to Doha was part of Ankara's broader diplomatic efforts aimed at facilitating a ceasefire and supporting humanitarian relief initiatives in Gaza.

Türkiye has consistently advocated for a peaceful resolution and a two-state solution, maintaining open communication channels with all parties involved in the conflict.
