Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is set to visit Türkiye on February 24-25, according to a report from Middle East Eye.

This follows recent high-level talks between U.S. and Russian delegations in Riyadh, marking the first discussions since the Ukraine war began in February 2022.

The meeting in Saudi Arabia, which took place on Tuesday, focused on advancing talks to end the conflict and improve bilateral ties between the two countries.

Meanwhile, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized Türkiye’s readiness to mediate peace efforts during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to Ankara on Tuesday.

Erdogan reiterated Türkiye's commitment to supporting negotiations that would lead to lasting peace, underscoring Ankara's active role in fostering dialogue to end the three-year-long conflict between Moscow and Kyiv.
