China's southwestern Yunnan province reports 20 casualties from a landslide, prompting ongoing search and rescue efforts

Reported casualties from the landslide in China's southwestern Yunnan province have risen to 20, according to a state broadcaster's report on Tuesday. The incident has prompted ongoing search and rescue efforts to locate the missing individuals at the site.

State broadcaster reported, "Up to 2:50 pm (06:50 GMT) on Jan, 23. 20 people had been found at the scene, none of whom showed vital signs."

As of now, 24 people remain unaccounted for, intensifying the urgency of the rescue mission. The landslide, which occurred in this picturesque region, has left the community in shock and mourning. Local authorities are coordinating efforts to manage the crisis, with rescue teams working tirelessly to sift through the debris and locate any signs of life.
