Turkish Air Forces Command killed five PKK terrorists in the Hakurk region in northern Iraq, the National Defense Ministry announced Monday.
The ministry emphasized, in a social media post, that the fight against terrorism continues effectively and decisively.
The PKK has waged a terror campaign against Türkiye for over 35 years, resulting in the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children, and infants.
The organization is recognized as a terrorist group by Türkiye, the U.S. and the European Union.
Türkiye has consistently raised concerns regarding the tolerance extended to the PKK and its supporters across Europe.
