Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announces the dismantling of an organized crime syndicate, led by Semed Otunc, in operations across eight provinces, resulting in the arrest of 42 suspects

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that the organized crime syndicate led by Semed Otunc was dismantled in operations codenamed Mahzen-36 conducted in eight provinces, with 42 suspects arrested.

Informing about the arrest of 42 suspects, including the ringleader Otunc, Yerlikaya said, "I want our dear nation to know that we will dismantle and bring to justice organized crime syndicates of any size. Our operations will continue with determination from dawn to dusk."

Yerlikaya said that in the operations, it was determined that members of the organized crime syndicate committed crimes such as drug manufacturing and trafficking, sexual abuse, human trafficking, threats, and extortion, deceiving victims through fraud, making them dependent by forcibly administering drugs, forcing victims into theft, drug trafficking, prostitution, and coercion and violence against victims who did not want to commit crimes.

Congratulating the Yenisehir Public Prosecutor's Office in Bursa province and the gendarmerie personnel who carried out the operations, Yerlikaya noted that as a result of the operations, 6 unlicensed pistols, 5 hunting rifles, various amounts of drugs, and numerous digital materials were seized.
