Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Hamas Shura Council's Chairman Mohammed Darwish and members of the Hamas Political Bureau in Doha, Qatar, according to the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, discussions centered around the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the latest developments in ceasefire negotiations.
According to the diplomatic sources, the Hamas delegation emphasized that they are continuing efforts to achieve a permanent cease-fire and shared updates regarding recent discussions.
Minister Fidan reaffirmed that Türkiye's efforts to establish peace in Gaza are ongoing both on international platforms and at the bilateral level.
He underscored Ankara's commitment to supporting diplomatic initiatives aimed at ending the conflict and ensuring stability in the region.
The meeting also addressed the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza, attributed to Israel’s blockade preventing the entry of humanitarian aid for nearly two months.
Both sides highlighted the urgent necessity of finding an immediate solution to facilitate the delivery of aid and alleviate civilian suffering.
