Canada's Foreign Minister Melanie Joly is scheduled to embark on a multi-destination trip this week, which includes visits to Türkiye, Lebanon, Greece, and the Greek Cypriot administration.
Starting on Monday, she will hold discussions with her counterparts in each country, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties and explore avenues for increased cooperation.
During her meetings, Minister Joly will address various topics such as long-term peace and regional stability in the South Caucasus, Canada's support for Lebanon amidst its current challenges, and efforts to deepen relationships between Canada and Greece.
Additionally, discussions will focus on shared priorities, including increasing humanitarian aid into Gaza and enhancing regional security.
Minister Joly emphasized the importance of engaging with stakeholders to address the rapidly evolving situations in the Middle East and Caucasus regions and to determine how Canada can provide support where needed.
