The Houston Rockets, with Alperen Sengun in their lineup, defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-116 in a closely contested NBA game. The Turkish player came close to recording a triple-double, finishing with 20 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists in nearly 38 minutes of play.
This important Western Conference matchup, held at the Toyota Center in Houston, saw Sengun play a key role in the Rockets' victory. He was joined by Fred VanVleet, who scored 38 points and played a significant part in securing the win. Despite being one assist shy of a triple-double, the 22-year-old Sengun was crucial to Houston's success.
On the other side, Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led his team with 32 points, followed by Jalen Williams with 22 points and Isaiah Hartenstein with 19. However, these individual efforts were not enough to overcome the Rockets.
With this win, Houston earned its 15th victory of the season, tying Oklahoma City, which now holds a 15-5 record.
