The Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) successfully eliminated Metin Dinc, a senior figure within the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, in a precision operation in Syria's Qamishli region.

Dinc was identified as one of the key figures within the PKK/YPG terrorist organization, operating in Syria. The group, designated as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, has been a focal point of Turkish intelligence and military operations in the region.

The operation took place in the Qamishli region of Syria, an area known for its terrorist PKK/YPG activity.

According to reports, MIT’s precise action resulted in the neutralization of Dinc, further disrupting the organization's leadership structure.

Operation in Qamishli region

Dinc, who joined the PKK/YPG terror group in 2015, was organizing attacks against Turkish security forces on behalf of the organization. He was therefore on MIT's target list.

Dinc was assigned as the so-called General Public Order Officer in place of the so-called General Public Order Officers Aslan Cele codenamed Muzdelif Taskin and Syrian national Eymen Coli – who were eliminated in an operation organized by MIT in 2023.

As a result of the intelligence work of MIT's field agents, it was determined that Dinc was last in Qamishli.
