UN World Food Programme (WFP) Deputy Executive Director Carl Skau, in a statement on his social media account X, expressed that delivering much-needed food aid to Gaza is nearly impossible due to Israel's ongoing attacks.

Skau stated, "The intensification of conflicts in the central and southern parts of Gaza is causing devastating civilian casualties."

Skau made the following claims in another X post: "It's a public health and protection disaster. In the north, WFP's deliveries via Erez have improved access to basic food. This must be sustained, and people need more diverse, nutritious food."

Since Israel's occupation began, the Rafah Border Crossing has remained closed.

The closure of the Rafah Border Crossing, the only border crossing for the Gaza Strip outside of Israel, has a significant impact on humanitarian aid entry to Gaza, which is facing food shortages.
