Türkiye has become one of Europe's most preferred destinations for dental health tourism, thanks to its strong and high-quality oral and dental care services, according to Mustafa Yenilmez, Head of the Oral and Dental Health Department at the General Directorate of Health Services of the Ministry of Health.
Speaking at the Balkan Countries Health Business Forum, hosted by Edirne Governorship under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and supported by International Health Services Inc. (USHAS), Yenilmez emphasized that Türkiye delivers world-class dental care services across the country.
Highlighting the extensive availability of oral and dental healthcare throughout Türkiye, Yenilmez stated, "We currently have 135 public oral and dental health centers and 43 dental hospitals. In the private sector, there are 140 oral and dental health centers along with three dental hospitals."
Türkiye's robust technological infrastructure, highly trained healthcare personnel, and superior treatment services have drawn global admiration, Yenilmez underlined.
"Türkiye boasts a very safe and high-quality healthcare system," he said. "We are witnessing a yearly increase in the number of dental tourists. Particularly in the last five years, we have achieved remarkable growth. We are now one of Europe's most preferred dental destinations."
Patients from across Europe, as well as from the Middle East and the Balkans, are increasingly choosing Türkiye for dental treatments, taking advantage of the country’s strategic location and ease of access.
Among the most sought-after treatments are implant applications, aesthetic dental procedures, zirconium and ceramic coatings, and smile design treatments.
Yenilmez added, "Compared to Europe, we offer far more economical treatment options. Moreover, treatments can be completed in much shorter timeframes, making Türkiye an even more attractive destination for dental tourism."
