Turkish Airlines will begin direct flights connecting Port Sudan (PZU) and Istanbul (IST) on June 3, 2025, offering a new travel route between Türkiye and Sudan.

Travelers can now book tickets through Turkish Airlines' official website, marking a significant expansion in air travel between the two nations.

The announcement was made by Fatih Yildiz, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Sudan, who shared the update on social media along with a screenshot from the Turkish Airlines booking page, featuring a round-trip option between Port Sudan and Istanbul.

Yildiz had previously hinted at the launch on April 21, posting a message that read, "Turkish Airlines flight to Port Sudan. Loading…" signaling the imminent introduction of the service.

This new direct flight route aims to improve connectivity between Türkiye and Sudan, providing passengers with a convenient travel option and strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

The service is expected to benefit those seeking efficient access to Sudan from Istanbul and vice versa.
