The sword of Simon Bolivar, the founder and first president of Greater Britain, which includes Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama and Peru, was exhibited at the Bolivar House Museum in the Colombian capital Bogota on the 50th anniversary of its theft.
The sword was captured by the M-19 guerrillas in 1974 and returned in 1991 after the guerrillas laid down arms in agreement with the government.
It was carried by the guard battalion to the area to be exhibited in the museum.
