During the excavation of a construction project foundation in Sanliurfa, a mosaic rock burial chamber believed to be from the Roman period was uncovered due to a collapse.
Upon receiving notification of the situation, archaeologists from the Sanliurfa Museum initiated an investigation in the collapsed area. Their research determined that the site was a burial chamber dating back to the Roman period. Subsequently, the area was carefully covered and placed under protective measures.
It was reported that the detailed examination of the covered rock burial chamber will be carried out by expert teams.
