Scottish actor Ewan McGregor said he hopes to be involved in more projects as Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and that his character could play a larger role in the "Star Wars" universe.
When asked about the possibility of another adventure as Obi-Wan in the "Star Wars" universe, McGregor told LADbible: "I don't know. I haven't gotten a call from Lucasfilm or Disney saying, 'Let's do another one. Obi-Wan was made as a limited series, it came out and people liked it, which I'm very, very pleased about. I'm sure we'll do more. I still have a few years to go before I'm the same age as Alec Guinness was in 'A New Hope'. So I have time to tell more stories here."
McGregor, who starred in the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy from 1999-2005, reprised the role in the miniseries "Obi-Wan Kenobi", which aired on Disney+ in 2022. The series aired about nine years after "Star Wars: A New Hope" takes place about nine years before "Star Wars: A New Hope."
