Maxion Wheels' new joint venture facility in Manisa, Türkiye is in the final stages of completion, with equipment installation "progressing as planned" at the 24,500-square-metre plant.
The wheel manufacturer expects to begin serial production in the second half of 2025, with initial capacity of approximately 350,000 forged aluminum wheels annually. The facility includes built-in scalability to double production capacity in coming years.
The venture represents a significant expansion of Maxion's global offerings. In 2022, the company announced a $150 million investment to extend its steel truck wheel portfolio to include forged aluminum products through the partnership with Turkish-based Inci Holding.
According to company statements, the initial product lineup will feature "the most sought-after wheel sizes in three levels of finish."
The Manisa plant development follows Maxion's introduction of a new lightweight, corrosion-resistant forged aluminum truck wheel line at IAA Transportation 2024 in September. This product expansion positions Maxion to meet growing demand in the commercial truck market for aluminum wheel options.
