About Osman Boyner

Ali Osman Boyner was born in 1926 in the Tosya district of Kastamonu, in northern Türkiye. He began his education in Istanbul and in 1952 co-founded his first clothing company, Altinyildiz, with a group of friends.

In the late 1960s, Boyner took a pioneering step by entering the ready-to-wear clothing sector, which was still in its infancy in Türkiye. Together with fashion designer Kerim Kerimol and Italian fashion house owner Silvano Corsini, he laid the foundations of the Beymen brand. The first Beymen store opened in 1971 in Istanbul’s Sisli district and initially attracted significant attention with its menswear collection.

In 1981, he consolidated his businesses under the Boyner Group, creating one of the most influential fashion and retail conglomerates in the country.

Boyner remained chairman of the Boyner Group’s board until 2010 and played a significant role in shaping the modern Turkish textile and retail landscape.
